My stay at Aldea Paraiso was a mix of highs and lows. The hotel is new and well-maintained, with clean rooms and effective AC, which was appreciated in the humid climate. However, the lack of staff presence made it difficult for me to address issues directly, and the location felt a bit disconnected from the main activities in Puerto Escondido.

Rooms
6.0
The Double Room was clean and matched the pictures I saw online. However, the lack of natural light due to the blinds was disheartening, and some amenities like the coffee machine weren't functioning initially.
Service
5.0
The service was minimal. I often had to reach out via WhatsApp for assistance, and there was no one available at the reception. This made urgent requests more challenging.
Location
5.0
While the hotel is located a short five-minute walk from the center, the surrounding streets felt empty and dark at night. It took some time to reach decent cafes or dining options.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were quite limited nearby. I wished for a closer selection of eateries and cafes, as I had to walk quite a distance to find anything substantial.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was well-maintained and frequently cleaned, adding a nice touch to the atmosphere. However, I did notice some dirtiness in the water at times.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Aldea Paraiso; it felt like a small oasis not too far from La Punta's Main Street. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the privacy it offered, even though there were some challenges with the location. Sometimes, I noticed a few local dogs that made me feel uneasy while walking back to the hotel. Overall, I’d rate my experience highly despite a few hiccups during my time there.

Rooms
9.0
The Double Room was nicely designed, although a bit small for two full backpacks. It was also very clean and had a good air conditioning system, which was essential in Puerto's humidity.
Service
8.0
Although there was no receptionist on-site, communication through WhatsApp was quick and efficient. This added to the tranquil atmosphere, as I appreciated the lack of constant staff presence.
Location
7.0
It's a little away from major tourist areas, which I found quiet and peaceful. However, I did encounter some aggressive dogs in the residential area leading to the hotel, so I recommend taking main roads for safety.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed delicious fresh-cracked eggs from the breakfast offerings. The proximity to local cafes would also have been great if they were closer.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had a nice pool, although it could have been cleaner during my visit. Overall, the facilities felt well set up for a boutique experience.

I appreciated the beautiful and spotlessly clean setting. the room was comfortable and the beds were amazing. However, the lack of a real receptionist and some inconveniences regarding check-in and facility maintenance did make aspects of my stay less enjoyable.

Rooms
9.0
The double room was lovely and comfortable, with air conditioning that was crucial for the humid climate.
Service
7.0
The service was lacking some personal touch, as I often felt like I was left to figure things out on my own without staff around.
Location
6.0
The location was okay but the street was a dirt road and it took some walking to find a decent café nearby.
Dining
6.0
Dining options weren't extensive within immediate reach, which was a bit of a downside.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were mostly nice, particularly the warm pool. although I did find it was not very well maintained on some days.

7.2/10

My stay at Aldea Paraiso was generally pleasant. The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean, though I did experience a few minor inconveniences. While the location is peaceful, it is a bit further from the main areas of activity in La Punta. Overall, I'd consider staying here again.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were exactly as shown in the photos, modern and comfortable, but a little basic for the price I paid.
Service
6.0
I found the service a bit lacking. there was no active staff most of the time, and although I could reach out via WhatsApp, it felt a bit disconnected.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located a bit far from the bustling areas of La Punta, requiring a decent walk to reach restaurants and bars.
Dining
8.0
Although there wasn't much in-house dining, the freshly baked croissants made for a lovely treat when I did have them.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were nice, particularly the quiet pool area, but the kitchenette was too hot to use during the day.

I had a lovely stay at Aldea Paraiso. The architecture and layout of the place were beautiful, and I really enjoyed the swimming pool. However, there were some minor issues like a few hot areas without AC and a couple of maintenance problems that needed addressing.

Rooms
9.0
The Deluxe Villa was spacious and perfect for my group. We loved the net at the top of the stairs to lay on. Just a bit warm without AC or fans in the common areas.
Service
8.0
The staff were super friendly and helpful, making my stay relaxing. I did find it a bit odd that they wanted to charge me for a late checkout even though the hotel was empty.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, just a short distance from the beach, which made exploring Puerto Escondido easy and convenient.
Dining
8.0
While I didn't try the dining options much, the dishes on the menu looked refined and tempting. I wish I had the chance to indulge more!
Facilities
8.0
The pool was a highlight, but a few areas felt overly hot and some maintenance issues were apparent, like the roof leaking on the top terrace.
